Hi Mark,

I like your concise checklist. I am a MiraCheck user also and recently acquired a IV-P. Do you have a preflight and possibly an inspection checklist? Any chance that you can share on the MiraCheck site or if I could get the MC files to use as a starting place? Am also interested in flow procedures if anyone is using these. Am primarily based at 46U, Alpine, WY and winter at E25 Wickenburg, AZ. Thanks

Not to nitpick your checklist but do you really take off with full flaps? As I understand these flaps, you will get near max lift when they are extended to line up with maximum aileron deflection. Any more and you may get a bit more lift but you will get disproportionately increased drag, which you don’t want on takeoff. In the last century, I built a Super Stallion designed bt Martin Hollmann (now deceased). This shared a beefed up Lancair IV landing gear and wing and HS of the Lancair ES. Similar flaps on Stallion. Martin was heavily involved with the early Lancair designs. We discussed the pseudo Fowler flap characteristics and this is my recollection which I have seen confirmed in other sources. I have a G3X in my IV also but don’t know much about its checklist capability as I use MiraCheck on other aircraft. Would like to see screenshots or any other info. Thanks
