Continental Motors Services is proud to host the 2016 LOBO/ Lancair Landing, scheduled for Sep 29 - Oct 02, 2016 at our facilities in Fairhope, AL (KCQF).
There is a long history shared by Lancair builders and pilots and Continental Motors. Our engines are the primary choice for pilots and builders that are looking for performance, reliability and support. Our team of A&P and IA’s are also pilots and, in many cases have built their own experimental aircraft. They understand the needs of Lancair owners. Their knowledge is not limited to our engines. Through its Mattituck engine shop, the team perpetuates the Mattituck tradition of excellence in Lycoming engine overhauls and repairs. United Turbine, another division of Continental Motors Services, specializes in P&WC PT6 overhauls, repairs, and part sales. So whether you fly behind a Continental, a Lycoming or a PT6, our team has the experience you need to continue to take to the skies worry free. We also provide propeller overhaul and repair services, and through our Southern Avionics and Interiors division, avionics and interiors upgrades, ADS-B compliance installations and full panel design and fabrication, including in-house silk screening and powder coating.
Having all these services in one place allows owners one stop shopping for engine, avionics, and interior services. CMS also performs aircraft annual inspections and can combine multiple upgrade or modifications jobs in one well-organized project, saving time, efforts and money.
These four days are all about sharing knowledge and passion for aviation. Of course, we will share views on technicalities, tips and tricks, safe maintenance practices and aviation in general. Of course, pilots and owners will be more than welcome to schedule some one on one time with our specialists or have work performed on their aircraft while visiting Fairhope.
And these four days will come with legendary Southern hospitality! LOBO and Continental have put together a program that will appeal to those who will stay at the airport and to those who want to discover the town of Fairhope and the Mobile Bay area. Fairhope is a beautiful town with a thriving city center. Some foreign visitors compare it to some of the cities found around Lake Como, in Italy. So pilot or not, you will find plenty to visit or simply spend a relaxing weekend, choosing between shopping, visiting and beach related activities.
Again welcome to The Mobile Bay area, we look forward to meeting you and get to know you (and your plane) better!
