I am looking at purchasing an already built lancair 235, 320 or

360. I found a 235 with an O-320 installed. Does this make it a 320 (more

or less), or is there other significant differences between the two

models?

The 320 airframe is 8" longer, 4" higher in the canopy area, and has a

bigger instrument panel than the 235. The wings are the same. Don Goetz at

Neico was the first to install an O-320 engine in a 235 airframe. Call him

if you want more details.

Who knows what happens when you install an O290 with fuel injection,

electronic ignition and an air adjustable (IVO) prop in a 235? I built an RV-4

and am just starting an L235.
