Today, after two hours of bleeding more air out of the system, I capped off the lines to all three landing gear, as well as the dump valve. The only things left in the system at that point were the pressure gauges. When I ran the pump in either direction, I still got no pressure - the gauges just barely lifted off the pegs. So something is wrong with the pump. I cut the wires, undid the fittings, and removed the pump from behind the baggage bulkhead. Now what? I can't buy a new one and I have no idea where to send the old one for repair. Nuts!

John,

I saw not too long ago someone mentioning the hydraulic pack (motor and reservoir) are the same as the trim motors on boats.  Ironically, last week my son took our 1988 Sylvan ski boat out for some fun with his friends (tubing) and called me when the trim wouldn’t go down.  I drove out to the lake with some tools and after pulling some access panels, was floored to see the trim motor was the exact same thing as I got from Lancair for my gear hydraulic pack.  The problem was simply cured by filling the reservoir (which I am sure is not your problem), but I am wondering if you approached this from the angle of this motor coming out of your “ski boat”, if more reasonable options would surface?
