EAA® EXPERIMENTER DIGITAL MAGAZINE EXPANDING WITH MORE GRASSROOTS AVIATION CONTENT

More pages with added features, tech tips on ultralight-type aircraft

EAA AVIATION CENTER, OSHKOSH, Wis. — (March 31, 2014) — The popularity of EAA® Experimenter digital magazine, which in less than two years has become an authoritative amateur-built aircraft source for more than 44,000 readers each month, is sparking an expansion of the publication to include more grassroots aviation coverage of ultralights and light aircraft.

Responding to EAA member and reader requests, 10 pages of content will be added to Experimenter each month and specifically focused on ultralight-type aircraft and technical insights. In addition, the current in-depth coverage of homebuilt aircraft and building tips will continue.

“As the Experimenter digital version continues to grow and evolve, we’ve taken the input of EAA members as to what they would like to see and find valuable,” said Charlie Becker, EAA communities manager. “The expansion of the digital magazine is possible because of the positive feedback for Experimenter and its increasing popularity. Combined with EAA’s current digital, print and video offerings, grassroots aviation enthusiasts can find what they need in resources specifically created for them.”

The July issue of Experimenter will be the first one to include this expanded content. The magazine will continue under the editorship of Mary Jones of EditEtc. LLC, a longtime EAA Publications staff member who has 30 years of experience with homebuilts, ultralights and light aircraft for various EAA publications.

Experimenter is available to all EAA members through a free subscription, and on a limited-time basis for non-members. It is dedicated to sharing knowledge and building experiences, and addresses the challenges involved in searching for or building that "perfect" project, panel, engine or prop. It also discusses flight-testing experiences, either ongoing or first-flights, that can be shared with others.
