The plans call for taking up the space with a BID layup but was wondering if a shim of 1/4" X 2" AL or phenolic might be better for a gap this large. If AL is preferred, does anyone know what type of AL (2024T3/6061 etc) the original GM5 is fabricated from? Thanks for the help. -Ed Sikora planeman23 [at] hotmail.com
