In 2009 the FAA issued  Information For Operators (InFO) 09015. The primary purpose of this InFO was to alert the Lancair and general aviation communities about FAA operational safety concerns regarding Lancair aircraft. (Click here to read the InFO report.)

This document served as the impetus for LOBO action and has resulted in several meetings between LOBO leadership and FAA representatives to discuss options and alternatives to deal with the issues discussed in the InFO. LOBO has also consulted with the Experimental Aircraft Association and other industry groups in an effort to stay in front of FAA initiatives that might impact Lancair ownership/operations.
