As a result of several recent accident investigations, the NTSB has issued four new safety alerts aimed at GA pilots and mechanics. They should be especially applicable to anyone who both flies and maintains their aircraft.

Two of the alerts providing guidance for maintainers pertain to aircraft rigging and flights following maintenance. The remaining two alerts pertain to GA pilots transitioning to new aircraft, and those considering flying in the mountains. All of the alerts list related accidents, and specific recommendations from the NTSB on how to avoid making similar mistakes.
